AT&T Announces Three-Year Contract with Energy Alloys

Houston, Texas, November 21, 2007

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced a new networking services contract with Energy Alloys, a global provider of oil field metals, services and solutions to the global oil and gas industry. Under the terms of the three-year contract, AT&T will serve as the primary provider of network services and will deliver a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to the company's 13 locations.

With AT&T VPN, Energy Alloys will be able to establish a wide area network (WAN) that will connect its multiple locations across the globe via a single converged network. Additionally, the VPN will support secure and reliable voice and data communications across a unified platform and will also offer increased flexibility that will enable cross-network connectivity for remote and local employees and customers.

The implementation of an Internet Protocol (IP)-enabled solution will ensure secure and seamless transitions and integration, allowing Energy Alloys to add its recently expanded international locations to the network. The VPN will also allow for simultaneous and faster error-free data transmission between Energy Alloys' data center and its remote sites and will help support the implementation of future applications, such as Voice over IP (VoIP).

"With multiple domestic locations and the need to support our recently expanded global sites, we needed a provider capable of connecting all of our sites on one network to ensure secure and reliable data communications," said Jonathan Whitehouse, global systems architect, Energy Alloys. "We are confident that the solution provided by AT&T will sustain our current network needs as well as provide the flexibility needed to deploy future applications, such as VoIP, as we continue to grow our business."
