AT&T Expands Wireless Coverage at University Of Virginia

Provides Students, Faculty and Visitors with Expanded Indoor Coverage for John Paul Jones Area and Scotts Stadium

UVA Cavaliers fans now have one more thing to cheer about. AT&T* announced today that it has added a new in-building wireless antenna system providing extended coverage for the 16,000 seat John Paul Jones Arena and the 60,000 seat Scotts Stadium.

The network expansion is part of AT&T's continued commitment to provide customers with the best wireless network experience and will supplement existing coverage on campus while accommodating the anticipated spike in wireless traffic that typically is seen during a concert, game or special event. Enhancing AT&T's wireless network throughout the state is an ongoing priority and in fact, from 2006 to 2008, AT&T's total capital investment in Virginia was nearly $475 million.
