On the AT&T Mobile Share Flex plans there are no overage charges. Plus, these plans include Rollover Data, so the data you do not use this month will roll over for use in the next month (but it will expire if not used in that month). Once you have used all of your monthly high-speed data amounts, such as your plan data, any available Rollover Data or other allotments you may have, all of your data usage for the remainder of your monthly bill cycle will be slowed down to a max of 128Kbps which is approximately 2G speeds. While at reduced speeds, you will have basic data usage for light email and Internet usage. Audio and video streaming, picture and video messaging, gaming, and other data usage, including sponsored data, will be affected and may not work. If this isn’t enough speed for you, no problem, you can easily change your plan and resume high-speed data use. And remember, no matter what, you will never get hit with an overage charge.
Stream Saver® is included on select plans, including Mobile Share Flex, Mobile Share Advantage, Mobile Share Value, and Mobile Share. Stream Saver® is designed to identify streaming video content so that data speed and resolution of higher definition video can be adjusted to Standard Definition quality (about 480p). This allows customers to stream more video while using the same amount of data. Stream Saver® will not apply to content it cannot identify as video. Additionally, your ability to stream and the resolution of video can be affected by other factors. See att.com/streamsaver for more information.
Yes, if your domestic plan includes Stream Saver®, then when Stream Saver® is turned on for your line and you are roaming internationally (with or without an international package or feature), it will apply to international video streaming as well. You can turn it off and back on any time online.
No. With AT&T Next, you are purchasing a smartphone on an installment plan. Mobile Share Flex plans do not include any device purchase costs. Mobile Share Flex pricing is for service only and includes a monthly plan charge and a per-device monthly access charge.
Rollover Data is a benefit of Mobile Share Flex plans in which unused data from your monthly plan allowance rolls over for one billing period.
Rollover Data is used only after the full data allowance for your Mobile Share Flex plan in the current bill cycle is used. Once you exceed your plan’s current allotments, and any other available data allotments, you’ll automatically start using your available Rollover Data. There’s no cap on the amount of unused plan data within a given month that’s eligible for rollover. However, Rollover Data automatically expires after one billing period, and unused Rollover Data won’t carry over to the following month.
If all of the Mobile Share Flex plan allowance and Rollover Data and any other available data allotments are used, you will not incur overage fees. However, after all data allotments are used, all your data usage is slowed to a max of 128Kbps (2G speeds) for the rest of your monthly bill cycle. Your data usage will be impacted and may not work. See att.com/broadbandinfo for more information about AT&T’s network management practices.
If you have a Rollover Data balance when you change your plan, you will lose that balance for the current billing cycle. However, you will start accruing new Rollover Data once you’ve switched, and any unused data from your new monthly plan allowance will carry over for one billing period.

When you choose a new 10GB or higher Mobile Share Flex Plan, you can talk, text, and use your plan data with an eligible device in Mexico like you do in the U.S. on eligible devices—with no roaming charges. Compatible devices on some retired plans, include Roaming in Mexico or can be enabled to roam in Mexico by adding the AT&T Roam Mexico feature at no additional charge. Log in to your account to see if you have or if you can add the AT&T Roam Mexico feature, or to switch to a new Mobile Share Flex plan with 10GB or higher.
Smartphones, Basic and feature phones, tablets, laptops, and Mobile Hotspot devices are eligible to roam in Mexico for no additional roaming charge. Wearables, Wireless Home Services, and other IoT devices will incur pay-per-use roaming charges when roaming in Mexico. Connected Car is not capable of roaming in Mexico.
If you are on a retired Mobile Share Advantage plan, you may upgrade and add or remove lines from the data plan you currently have. If you want to change your high-speed data allotment, you can choose a Mobile Share Flex plan or any of our other current offers. If you change your plan you may not be able to return to your old plan as it is now retired.
