Prepaid doesn’t have a bill. When you pay for a plan, that plan is good for 30 days. The end of the 30 days is your renew date. In other words, you need to have an account balance sufficient to renew your plan by that date if you want your plan to automatically renew. You do not have to renew your plan, you can simply let it expire. With a prepaid data only plan, you have 12 months to renew. If you don’t renew within 12 months, your account will be closed and the sim deactivated. When you want another 30 days of data, you simply pay for the plan to renew it.

iCloud is a user lock, It has nothing whatsoever to do with the service provider. AT&amp;T cannot remove user locks, only the person who had the phone before can do so.&nbsp;

If you are unable to contact the original owner, or if the person that sold you the phone was not the original owner, there's nothing that can be done.&nbsp;

Xfinity has nothing to do with AT&amp;T.&nbsp; &nbsp;If the phone is locked to Xfinity, that is Comcast and an internet service provider that also provides mobile home service. But it makes no difference. They cannot remove a user lock only the original user can do so&nbsp;

The error &ldquo;You are not allowed to make Dialed Carrier Calls or SOS mode&rdquo; is generated because your phone cannot process a call over the voice network. In these instances WI-Fi calling, data, and text messages may still work. This may be caused by an issue with your eSIM, or when you are in a low or no coverage area and can often be resolved with a few steps.
&nbsp;
But, first there are a few things to consider:

Are you getting good signal strength? If not, you may need to go to an area with stronger signal and try power cycling your device.
Are others in your area experiencing the same issue? If others are having the issue as well it could me there is an&nbsp;outage&nbsp;
Has your device recently been damaged?&nbsp; Dropping your phone is always a scary experience, and even when the phone looks fine there could be an internal issue that is causing the problem.

Are you using a physical Sim?
Sometimes a physical Sim card can be damaged. Usually this is nothing more than a fingerprint or debris/dust interfering with the connection. A good step to fix issues with a physical Sim giving an SOS message and your account is active is to power the device off, remove the physical Sim card and gently clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. Once this is done use a soft dry cloth to remove any debris that might be on the card, place it back into your device, power it on and test. &nbsp;
&nbsp;
Before we troubleshoot the eSIM directly let&rsquo;s first try turning your device off for at least one minute, then turn it back on to see if that has resolved the issue.&nbsp; If you are still having trouble, try resetting your network settings for&nbsp;Apple&nbsp;or&nbsp;Android.&nbsp; Please note, doing this will reset your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings.

If the problem hasn&rsquo;t been resolved after that, then let&rsquo;s try these steps.

For Apple iPhone users:

Remove all active eSIM profiles.

Settings&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;Cellular or Mobile Data&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;click on&nbsp;eSIM profile &gt;&nbsp;Delete eSIM Profile.

Do a factory&nbsp;restore.
Create a new&nbsp;eSIM&nbsp;
Retest.

If you still have an issue after this Apple users will need to contact Apple directly for further assistance.

For Android devices:

Select&nbsp;Settings.
Select&nbsp;Connections
Select&nbsp;Mobile Network &gt; Advanced.
Select&nbsp;Mobile Service Provider (or SIM card Manager)
Select&nbsp;the&nbsp;eSIM profile&nbsp;you want to erase.
Proceed to tap&nbsp;Remove.
Confirm your choice by clicking&nbsp;Remove&nbsp;once again

Now you will need to activate a new&nbsp;eSIM&nbsp;
