Smart Limits helps you manage your family’s phone use by setting sensible limits on texts and purchases, blocking data, setting up Wi-Fi ® Reminders, and viewing daily and weekly activity at home and on the go. The Smart Limits app is easily accessed on your iPhone® or Android™ phone, or from the easy-to-use Web dashboard.6

Manage Cellular Data

  • Block Cellular Data: Block access to cellular data for any line on your account.1
  • Wi-Fi Reminders: Help your family manage data use by setting up text reminders to switch to Wi-Fi when a set amount of cellular data is used.2

Block Numbers

  • App Store: Smart Limits costs $4.99 for 30 days for one line or $9.99 for 30 days for up to ten lines when you purchase through the App Store. Smart Limits is available for AT&T wireless customers on a postpaid rate plan. Smart Limits is not available on GoPhone® prepaid or corporate liable accounts.

Most devices on wireless postpaid accounts are eligible. Smart Limits cannot be added for Wireless Home Phone customers. Data blocking is the only feature available for tablets and other data-only devices.

You can access Smart Limits from your computer or tablet via the Web at att.com/smartlimits, or from your Android phone or iPhone with the Smart Limits app from the App Store or Google Play.

Currently Smart Limits is incompatible with HD Voice and GoPhone services. Please be aware that if you add Smart Limits, HD Voice will be removed.
