My husband and I went to the AT&T #15 in store in Marion, Indiana to get my phone fixed. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to the store opening because we thought the store opening at 9am but it didn’t until 10am. There was a manager in the store his name is Matt. He was waiting for another employee named Trent. Trent was late he got to work at 9:59 and 30 seconds. We ask when did the store started opening at ten? Trent had a smart remark “it’s been like this we been opening at at ten” and closed the door in our face. I stated it’s less then 30 seconds til opening. Trent said When he unlocked and opened the door, “we open at ten on the dot” and closed the door in our face. Then the manager Matt came to the door and we said did you hear and see how your employee treated us and he said yes and that we could not come in the store because we had an attitude. I said we have an attitude? Did you hear how your employee spoke to us and slam the door in our face? He said yes but we needed to lose our attitude before coming in the store. We stated that we didn’t have an attitude we just want you as the manager to address this situation. Matt stated that Trent had not done anything wrong. I said ok can I just please get my phone fixed and I began explaining my phone issue to Matt as he interrupted me stating that he was not going to fix my phone and that I had to speak with the only other person in the store Trent. Now I have an attitude because you are the manager and refused to help a customer and referred them to a person that was just rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. So since Trent was late for work we had to wait until he was set up to get my phone looked at and I do mean looked at. He looked at it entered the AT&T code in it and bring up my internet. This was my issue with the phone but this did not fix my phone because Trent didn’t listen to my phone complaints he just heard internet. So I said thank you and reached for my phone. Trent was proud of himself. I was steaming at this point and we left the store. I told my husband when we got inside the car to take me to Verizon. He did and Verizon fixed my phone and I talked to the about their plans and phones. The have better phone plans and phone options with better customer service. When I was done in at Verizon store I called the AT&T store and asked to speak with Matt. Matt said this is me I stated that my phone was not fixed and that I had to go to another company to get it fixed. Matt’s statement to me was well we are not technicians and we don’t have to try to fix your issues. I have been with AT&T since bag phones and pagers, over 30 years and this is the treatment a loyal customer gets. So I said thank you and came home and call AT&T corporate and filed a complaint the lady on the other end of the phone had me call the store to get last names and ID#’s of the employees. A young man name Colin answered and refused to give the last names and ID#’s of any of them. The Lady help me by filing a complaint against the store and I will be happy moving to Verizon.

Very rude, I hate when I have to go in the store for anything.

There were four workers in the store, all of which were incredibly unprofessional and rude. At one point there were two women just waiting in the front of the store while three workers sat at a table and talked. No one even said anything to them as they walked in.
