I live in MA and 5 years ago due to an emergency situation, i purchased a go phone for my sister. My name is Claudia Kulik. Her name is Christine Conte.
I know she came to the store on 10/2 because she needed a new phone. I spoke with Jake on the phone. He was very professional etc. He even called me back to tell me how she could use her sim card in another phone.
Jake i want to give you kudos for patience, kindness and professionalism. I know my sister Christine is not well and she was impatient etc. She is recovering from pneumonia.
I have a feeling she was a tad difficult to deal with. your professionalism was greatly appreciated.

If I could give 0 stars to this establishment I would. Today myself (20 y/o female) along with two friends of similar age drove a half hour from our elite college campus to Oneida, so that one friend could purchase a new phone. In preparation for this trip, the friend called AT&T’s support line to confirm what she would need to bring for this exchange as the account was under the name of her recently deceased mother. They shared with her that all she needed was her mother’s SSN and the log in information for said account. Upon arrival at this location, the men at the desk ignored my friend as she waited patiently for 15 minutes for their help. When they finally listened to her circumstances, they told her that they could not access her account even with the information she had been told to have prepared. They added her name to the account, but told her that it would take 30 days for this to be finalized in order to exchange her phone. Her phone is clearly broken already and the workers did not seem concerned at all that she would have to wait for 30 days. The men then offered that by opening a new account with a new phone number she could avoid the hassle of either waiting 30 days for a phone or having her father retrieve her mother’s death certificate from her home in Maryland and bringing it to a corporate location to change account ownership. My friend REPEATEDLY told the workers that she did not want a new phone number. We stayed in the store as she called her father who lives in Maryland in the middle of a workday to ask about retrieving the death certificate. The worker continuously interrupted her conversations with her father. As she was finalizing plans with her dad that did not involve returning to the store, the AT&T salesman interrupted her again to pitch her the new phone number idea again. He encouraged her to switch to a new number claiming that this phone would be free and a cheaper long term investment. At this point my friend (who was not buying a new phone) and I were fed up with their persistent sales tactics and blatant ignorance towards the emotional distress they were causing our friend. I stepped in and asked the salesman to stop trying to sell her a phone and just let her finish talking to her dad, at which point this man got within a foot of my face while standing over my sitting frame and told me to stay out of it saying “you can leave right now and wait outside for your friends.” Not only was this disrespectful, belittling, physically too close to be appropriate, and just plain rude, but he did not see the errors of his own sales tactics in having little empathy for the position he had put my friend in as he repeatedly made her talk about her recently deceased mother. It is shameful that this man continues to work at this establishment as he clearly has little aptitude for customer care and only worries for his own commission and bottom line.Response from AT&TFebruary 24, 2020Hello Eliza D. , We want all of our customers to be given exceptional service every visit.
