    I visited this store with my grandchildren on Saturday, July 10, 2021 and was refused service by the manager, (Chris) because of the color of my skin. It was blatant and on display for the entire store to see. I was humiliated and degraded in front of other customers and made to feel so uncomfortable I was shaking and became sick to my stomach. The fact my grandchildren witnessed the entire things was too much for me to bare and I went home and cried.

    I visited this store today with my grandchildren to do shop. We waited patiently as it seemed the store was short staffed as there were only (2) employees on the showroom floor and both were with customers. We sat for approximately 15 possibly 20 minutes when (2) white customers came in and a man emerged from the back end of the store. The man walked straight passed me and my grandchildren and made a beeline for the white customers. The man spoke and conversed with the customers as if he knew them. He was attentive, polite, engaging all whilst smiling with friendly and inviting body language. After approximately 15 minutes I walked over to the man and explained we had been waiting and was here first. He replied he was checking them in and when I asked did he work there he said yes, I’m the manager (Chris). Chris told me he doesn’t help customers and someone would be with me when there done with the other customers. When I asked why he couldn’t take care of us considering we arrived long before the customers he chose to assist he replied “I know when you arrived because I saw you on the camera in the back room. This was the most horrible, embarrassing, degrading and dismissive situation I have ever experienced as a customer, business owner, parent and grandmother. I was embarrassed for myself and my family.

    Very Disappointed. Spoke to a representative on 1/22 to upgrade a phone on a line that was eligible for a full upgrade. While speaking with the representative he told us that line was not fully eligible and that an easy fix would be to simply add an additional line. He explained by doing this we would actually save money on our monthly bill. Almost like the additional line was attached to the lower plan, like a promotion of some sort. It was odd but we trusted what we were being told by the ATT representative. We agreed to the added line with the understanding that the line would not add to our bill because it "wasn't being used" therefore it would only be "about" $10 a month, but would lower our bill in the long run tremendously. We were then told to change the plan to this fabulous new plan we needed to come back or call due to our billing cycle. We came back on the exact day we were told. No notes were in the system although we were told all the info would be noted. We then changed our plan with a different representative and were still under the impression that this new line was to our benefit. Well today we had a bill that was $205 more than normal. We called the 1800 number and were told we absolutely had an eligible phone to upgrade and it had been eligible since May 2020. Confirming what we went in to do originally. Of course I explained that we were told this would save us money. She then explained that we were paying $35. a month to have this line that we were not using. Because the line was attached to an installment plan they could not cancel the line. That means I was paying the installment plus $35 for the plan. With the 1800 number 7 representatives and 3 hours and 33 minutes later we paid $1065. for the phone to be paid in full and to cancel the unneeded line. This was completely deceitful and unacceptable. All could have been avoided if the proper options were given. All we ask for is full disclosure in order to make a fully informed decision. We were very happy with the first, sixth and seventh representatives from customer service. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th couldn't be bothered and put us back into queues. As a long term customer and advocate of AT&T I couldn't be more upset with the entire situation and the lack of options to fix the problem that was truly created by not being honest. Please always remember to treat customers how you would want to be treated it will always get you further in the end. You will win if you do things the right way.

    I was asked to do a Google review on a text survey from AT&T for the Providence Rd location. The experience was worse than horrible. REALLY TERRIBLE. To learn more call 704-904-5844. Pitiful.
