Use filters to sort your incoming emails and help control spam.

Create filters

You can create up to 500 filters to automatically send new emails to spam, a folder, your inbox, or the trash automatically. Filters run from top to bottom, so if more than one applies, the top filter is used.

To move a filter, select it and use the up or down arrow at the top of the list.

  1. Go to AT&T Mail and select Mail or Sign in.
  2. Select … (More icon).
  3. Choose Settings, then Filters.
  4. Select Add, then enter the filter name, set the rules, and pick or create a folder.
  5. Choose Save.

Edit filters

  1. Go to AT&T Mail and select Mail or Sign in.
  2. Select … (More icon).
  3. Choose Settings, then Filters.
  4. Select the filter you want to change and make your changes.
  5. Choose Save.

Delete filters

  1. Go to AT&T Mail and select Mail or Sign in.
  2. Select … (More icon).
  3. Choose Settings, then Filters.
  4. Select the filter you want to remove, then Delete filter.
