Want to reset your sign-in password? Follow these steps to get a temporary password sent via text.


Don’t have an AT&T Wireless number

  1. Go to your account profile. Sign in, if asked.
  2. Select Account info, then Edit for your Phone number.
  3. Enter your wireless number and select Save.
  4. Complete any confirmation steps sent to your wireless number within 24 hours. Text message rates and other charges may apply if you don’t have an AT&T Wireless number. Check with your plan and provider.

FYI: It can take up to 30 days before you can use this wireless number to reset your password.

Have an AT&T Wireless number

A quick way to reset your password is to assign your AT&T Wireless number to your user ID. We can text you a temporary password. Find out how to assign your number to your user ID

Have a free AT&T Mail account that isn't linked to your ID

  1. Go to your account profile and sign in with your AT&T Mail address and password.
  2. Select Account info, then Edit for your Phone number.
  3. Enter your wireless number and select Save.
  4. Complete any final steps sent to your wireless number within 24 hours. Text message rates and other charges may apply if you don’t have an AT&T Wireless number. Check with your plan and provider.

Heads up: It can take up to 30 days before you can use your wireless number to reset your password.
