Find out which countries you can text, and where you can send pictures and videos.

Where you can (and can’t) send texts and pictures

When you want to send a message to someone in another country, keep in mind:
  • Some countries’ international carriers may not accept picture and video messaging.
  • The person you're messaging might not be able to receive your message. This could be due to their device, service provider, or service agreement.
  • If they can't receive a picture or video message, it’s usually sent to a web-based service where it can be viewed with an internet browser.

Countries and carriers where messaging isn’t available

Text, pics and video messaging aren’t available to the following countries: Cocos Island, Easter Island, Iran, North Korea, South Sudan, Wallis and Futuna.

You may not be able to send messages, pictures or videos to a user with a satellite phone.
