ArticleDETAILED STEPS

Record a show or series

Want to record a show or movie to watch later? You can:
  • Record from the guide, the browsing carousel, or a device.
  • Schedule an upcoming recording now. It won’t show in your playlist until it’s done recording.
  • Schedule a recording on any device and watch it on another.
  • Record multiple shows at the same time until you use all your storage hours.
  • Store titles for up to 90 days with AT&T TVSM and eligible AT&T TV NOWSM packages (MAX, PLUS, ENTERTAINMENT, CHOICE, XTRA, ULTIMATE, and ÓPTIMO MÁS). Store titles for up to 30 days with AT&T TV NOW international (Brazilian, Korean, and Vietnamese) and grandfathered (Live a Little, Just Right, Go Big, Gotta Have It, and Todo y Mas) packages. You’ll see an alert before a recording expires.

Good to know: You can use the voice option, too. Press the voice button and tell Google Assistant what you want to record.

From a mobile device or computer
  1. Go to AT&T TV or the AT&T TV app.
  2. Select the show you want to watch.
  3. Choose REC (If you’re using an Android® device, select the 3 dots first.)

From Apple TV or Samsung TV

  2. Swipe right to highlight your choice and select Record.
  3. Select All Episodes or New Episodes.

From Amazon Fire TV or Roku

  2. Use the right arrow to select REC.
  3. Press OK and follow the prompts.

Heads up:
Starting January 1, 2020, you won’t be able to add the AT&T TV channel to your Roku device. Already have AT&T TV on your Roku device? You can keep using it as long as you don’t delete the app. We’re actively working on a new agreement with Roku and hope to resolve this soon.

Titles airing later

  1. Go to AT&T TV and select Guide.
  2. Find the show you want to record.
    • Pick REC to add the title or series to your DVR recordings.
    • Select All Episodes or New Episodes, if applicable.

Good to know: Use the overflow button (…) on your remote to record from the guide.
