Learn how to set up AT&T TV and control your entertainment with one remote.
WATCH AND LEARN
Once you have your AT&T TV device, cables, and remote out of the box:
Connect your device to your TV with the included HDMI cable. Note which HDMI input you use. (Make sure to turn on your TV.)
Insert the power cord into the back of the device and then plug it into a wall outlet. A red light will blink on the front of the device.
Connect an Ethernet cable (not included) between your device and your gateway, if you want a wired internet connection. Otherwise, you’ll choose a Wi-Fi® network later.
Change your input to the correct one using the Input or Source buttons on your television remote.
Pair your remote with your AT&T TV device: Point the remote at your AT&T TV device and press the FAST FORWARD and REWIND buttons at the same time. We’ll let you know your remote is ready to use once it’s paired.
Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list of options, and then enter your password using the remote. (Press OK to display on onscreen keyboard.) Once connected, your device checks for updates and may reboot.
Select or enter the location where you’ll use your AT&T TV device. This will be set as your in-home network.1
Good to know: Watch at home, or stream anywhere in the U.S. on your mobile device (excludes Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Keep in mind, streaming on certain 3rd party devices may be limited to your home Wi-Fi network. But you can still stream on the go with a smartphone, tablet, or computer. You can change your home Wi-Fi network 4 times within a 12-month period.
