To get started, make sure you have an access number.

If you have Windows 7

Once you locate your local access number:
  1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.
  2. Select Network and Sharing Center.
  3. Choose Set up a new connection or network, and then Set up a dial-up connection.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Enter the requested information info and select Connect to create your dialer.

If you have MacOS X

Once you find your local access number:
  1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences and then Network Preference.
  2. From the left menu, select your External Modem or Internal Modem to open the preferences for this device.
  3. Leave the dropdown menu as Default.
  4. Enter the requested info and then select Show modem status in the menu bar.
  5. Select Apply and then close the System Preferences pane.
  6. In the top right of the menu bar, select the phone icon and then Connect.
