Dial passwords in Connection Manager

Learn how to save, edit, and use your member ID and passwords in the AT&T Dial Connection Manager.

Password security information

You can save your passwords on your computer. When you select a member ID with a saved password, the computer automatically enters the password for you.

For your security
  • Saving a password on your computer enables other users to connect with that member ID and access your account. If you share a computer with other people and want to keep information private, we strongly suggest you do not save your password.
  • For security purposes, passwords are saved on your computer, not the AT&T network. For this reason, saving a password on one computer does not automatically save it on each computer used to access the AT&T service. Passwords must be saved on each computer individually.

Save a password

It takes just a few steps to save your password.
  1. Select a member ID.
  2. Select the check box beside Save my password.
  3. Enter the password for that member ID.
  4. Select Connect.

The next time this member ID is used to connect, the computer automatically enters the password.

Remove saved passwords

If you no longer want your password stored, you can remove it.
  1. Select the member ID.
  2. Clear the Save my password check box.
  3. Select Connect.

Each time the member ID is used to connect after this, the password must be re-entered.
