Test receiver connections

  1. Check the Satellite-In (or SAT-IN) cable to make sure all connections between your receiver and the wall outlet are secure. If any adaptors are connected to the cable, check them too.

  2. If you have a SWiM power inserter attached to the DIRECTV cable coming from your dish, unplug it from the electrical outlet.
  3. Wait 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Be sure not to plug the SWiM power inserter into a power outlet that can be turned off.

Check satellite dish

If you can easily see your satellite dish, make sure nothing blocks the line of sight from the dish to the sky. Don't climb on your roof.

If you can't safely remove an obstruction, or you still have issues, contact us.
