Explore available apps

  • Locast - Streams local networks in available markets.1
  • Pandora - Create personalized music stations based on your favorite artists.
  • Score Guide - Get up-to-the-minute sports scores, standings, and schedules for all major sports, including college games. View yesterday's results for games you missed, and see game schedules for the next 7 days.
  • iHeart Radio - Explore thousands of the country’s best live radio stations with this music app.

Access the apps

TV apps require a Genie® (model HR44 and later, model C31 and later), DIRECTV HD DVR receiver (model HR21 and later), or DIRECTV HD receiver (model H21 and later) and an active internet connection. The receiver must be connected to the internet.

To access the apps:
  1. Press the right arrow on your remote.
  2. Use your up and down arrows to highlight the app you want.
  3. Press SELECT. 

To exit a TV app, just press EXIT or BACK on your remote.

Troubleshoot TV apps

If you're having difficulty accessing or using TV apps, try the following:
  • Check that you have the correct receiver type. TV apps require a Genie (model HR44 and later, model C31 and later), DIRECTV HD DVR receiver (model HR21 and later), or DIRECTV HD receiver (model H21 and later).
  • Confirm that your internet connection is working.
  • Press EXIT on your remote to clear any onscreen elements.
  • Press the right arrow again. Apps may take up to 30 seconds to load, depending on your broadband connection.
