DIRECTV error code: 772

Error code 772 indicates that new programming was just added or updated, or your receiver was just installed or activated. As a result, your TV signal may be interrupted.

Reset your receiver

If you see error code 772, new DIRECTV programming was just added or updated, or your receiver was just installed or activated. In most cases, resetting your receiver will fix this issue. To reset your receiver now, just follow these steps:
  1. Unplug your receiver's power cord from the electrical outlet, wait for 15 seconds, and plug it back in.
  2. Press the Power button on the front panel of your receiver. Wait for your receiver to reboot.

You can also reset your receiver by pressing the red reset button located inside the access card door on the front panel of your receiver.
