Check AT&T email with your device

Get a secure mail key

AT&T Mail security upgrades mena that if you have certain types of email apps, you’ll need to update your settings. Learn more about the security upgrade.

If your device gets the security upgrade, be sure to create a secure mail key. You’ll need it to set up or keep getting your AT&T Mail with a mobile app.

If you use one of these email apps, you won’t need a secure mail key.

Set up AT&T email on smart devices

When you configure your account, use these server settings:

IMAP

  • Inbound server - imap.mail.att.net (Port 993)
  • Outbound server - SMTP.mail.att.net (Port 465)

POP3

  • Inbound - server hostname: inbound.att.net (Port 993)
  • Outbound - server hostname: outbound.att.net (Port 465) 
Heads up: The IMAP and POP3 instructions apply to these AT&T domains

Get AT&T Mail on basic phones

If your device is a basic phone, you don’t have to worry about a secure mail key. You can access your AT&T Mail from the browser on your phone.
  1. Go to currently.com.
  2. Select the mail icon. 
  3. Enter your sign-in details. If you save your password, you can check your email when you select the mail icon.
