How to create or remove a disposable email address

To create a disposable email address
From your webmail inbox:
  1. Select the gear icon and then More Settings.
  2. Choose Mailboxes, then the down arrow after Disposable email address.
  3. Select Add, enter the base name you want to use, then select Next.
  4. Enter a keyword, your sending name, and a description.
  5. Select Save.

Heads up: When you respond to an email, your reply will show your sending name and email address.

To remove a disposable email address
From your webmail inbox:
  1. Select the gear icon and then More Settings.
  2. Choose Mailboxes, then the down arrow after Disposable email address.
  3. Choose the disposable email address you want to remove.
  4. Select Delete address.

How to use disposable email addresses

  • All disposable email addresses follow this format: basename-keyword@att.net.
  • Your base name is part of every disposable email address. Once you choose it, you can’t change it.
  • You can create up to 500 disposable addresses, using a different keyword for each.
  • You can use a keyword that makes sense to you, but it can’t have spaces or symbols.

For Yahoo.com email aliases

Have a Yahoo.com email address set up as an alias on your AT&T Mail account?

On May 6, 2019, we changed our sign-in process and separated your AT&T Mail and yahoo.com email accounts. This means that your alias Yahoo emails will now be sent to your new Yahoo email account.

Going forward:
  • All your existing AT&T Mail, contacts, and calendar entries stays with your AT&T Mail account.
  • AT&T - Use your AT&T email address to sign in to your AT&T Mail.
  • Yahoo - Use your Yahoo email address to sign in to your new yahoo.com email account.
    • The password for your Yahoo email account will be the same one you use for your current AT&T Mail account.
    • Want to change your Yahoo password? No worries. Change it at yahoo.com.
    • Looking for your personalized info on Yahoo? Sign in to your Yahoo account.
