[AT&T Mail](https://www.att.com/support/email-support/) # Set up or update AT&T email - Windows Mail Learn how to set up your AT&T email or update your email settings for Windows Mail. * * * You’re viewing instructions for Software Windows Mail App KM1010519-slctrgrp\_winmailapp * * * ## Email program setup or updates ## Set up Windows Mail for AT&T email Use these steps to set up your email for the first time or on a new computer. 1. In Windows Mail, press __Windows key + C__ to access Charms Menu. 2. Select __Settings__ > __Accounts__. 3. Choose __Add an account__. 4. Select __Yahoo!__. 5. Complete Account Info: - AT&T email address ([email protected]) - Password – enter your password 6. Select __Connect__. If you provided the sign in info, your AT&T email will sync with Windows Mail. ## Verify or update email settings Windows Mail doesn’t support POP3 settings. Use these steps to verify or update your IMAP settings: 1. In Windows Mail, select your AT&T email __Account__. 2. Confirm __Account name__ and __download__ info. 3. Confirm or update your incoming email server info: - Incoming email server - __imap.mail.att.net__ - Port - __993__ - __Server requires SSL__ is selected 4. Confirm or update your Outgoing email server info: - Outgoing email server - __smtp.mail.att.net__ - Port - __465__ - __Server requires SSL__ is selected - __Outgoing server requires authentication__ is selected 5. Use the same username and enter your password to send and receive email. 6. Close your settings.
