Do I have to install the Secure Family companion app on my child's device?
Yes, if you have an AT&T PREPAID account or another U.S. wireless provider. You have to install the companion app on every device you want to monitor. Then pair the family member’s device with your own.

No, if you have an AT&T wireless account. If you don’t pair, you can still get your family member's AT&T network-based location, schedule location alerts, and see a 7-day location history. But, we suggest you pair each device you want to monitor so you can enjoy all the protections of Secure Family.
