Change Wi-Fi network info

Your Wi-Fi gateway comes with a default Wi-Fi network name and password. You can change either one.

Use Smart Home Manager to change Wi-Fi info

Good to know: For the best Wi-Fi® performance, keep the same Wi-Fi name and password for both network frequencies so you have just one network.
  1. Sign in to Smart Home Manager.
  2. Select My Wi-Fi.
  3. Choose Edit next to the name or password.
  4. Select X to clear existing info, then enter a new name or password.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Reconnect your devices with the updated network info.

Update Wi-Fi info from a device connected to your network

From a device connected to your Wi-Fi home network:
  1. Go to gateway settings.
  2. In Gateway Status, select Wireless.
  3. Scroll to User Network or Guest Network. You may have different network names for each radio frequency being used: 2.4GHz, 2.4GHz Guest, and 5.0GHz.
  4. Change network info:
    • For Wi-Fi name: In Network Name (SSID), enter a new network name.
    • For Wi-Fi password: Select Use custom Wi-Fi Network Password, then enter a new password.

  5. Select Save.
  6. If required, in Access code, enter the Device Access Code from the label on the side of your gateway.
  7. Select Submit.
  8. Reconnect your devices with the updated network info.
