# Learn about your All-Fi Hub (BGW530)
Get all the details on using your BGW530 to connect to the internet and troubleshoot common issues.

### Detailed light info
The front of your All-FiTM Hub has six lights: one power, one Wi-Fi (button), and four signal indicators. Review the PDF to get all info related to the lights on your hub.

### Signal indicator lights
- __Green (solid):__ The number of lights indicates your signal. If you only have one or two green lights, you should check for a better location.
- __Amber (chasing):__ Your hub is looking for the best signal tower.
- __Amber (blinking):__ Your hub has an error. Count the number of blinking lights to determine your error code.
- One (E004): No IP address
- Two (E400): SIM error
- Three (E403): Authentication failure
- Four (E013): DNS down
- __Off:__ If all signal indicator lights are off and the power button is red, there’s no connection to the 5G network (E405).

### Wi-Fi button light
This light indicates the status of your Wi-Fi.
- Green means Wi-Fi is turned on.
- No light means Wi-Fi is turned off. Press the button to turn it on.
### Power light
- __Green (solid):__ Your hub has power.
- __Red (solid):__ Your hub has an error. Check the signal indicator lights to find the error code.
You can turn your Wi-Fi on or off by pressing the Wi-Fi button on the front of your All-Fi-Hub. Turning off Wi-Fi will disconnect all devices connected to your All-Fi Hub.
### Find Wi-Fi info
Get your Wi-Fi name and password in three simple ways:
- __All-Fi Hub:__ Look for a sticker with your Wi-Fi name and password.
- __QR code:__ Use your mobile device to automatically connect devices to your hub.
- __Smart Home Manager:__ Open [Smart Home Manager](http://www.att.com/shm "Link opens in new window") and look for the My Wi-Fi card. Don’t have the Smart Home Manager app yet? Download the app from the [Apple App store](https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/smart-home-manager/id1258654743?mt=8 "Link opens in new window") or [Google Play store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.att.shm "Link opens in new window").
### Change Wi-Fi name
1. Sign in to [Smart Home Manager](http://www.att.com/support/internet/home "Link opens in new window").
2. Scroll to the __My Wi-Fi card__ and choose __Change__ next to the name or password.
3. Select __X__ to clear existing info, then enter a new name or password.
4. Select __Save__.
Once you finish making changes, reconnect your devices with the updated network info.

### Manage Wi-Fi security
Your BGW530 comes with the security __On__ and set to WPA-2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access II). If you or someone else turned the security __Off__, learn how to turn it back on.
1. Go to your [All-Fi Hub settings](http://192.168.1.254/ "Link opens in new window").
2. Select __Home Network__, then __Wi-Fi__.
3. Enter the __Device Access Code__ on your hub.
4. Select __Advanced Options__.
5. Do the following for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi Configuration sections:
- To use the default password, select __WPA – Default Password__ from the __Security__ options.
- To use a custom password or a password you changed, choose __WPA__ from the __Security__ options.
- In the __WPA Version__ section, select __WPA-2__ for maximum compatibility.
- Enter a new 10-character password. Use a longer or more complex password for better security.
6. Select __Save__.
7. Update your Wi-Fi devices with your new password info.
__FYI:__ Your 2.4 and 5.0GHz radios may have different network names and passwords. For the best Wi-Fi experience, we recommend you use the same Wi-Fi network name and password for both radios.
### Hide Wi-Fi info
__Important:__ Before proceeding with this process, be sure to store your Wi-Fi network name and password in a safe location. You’ll have to manually enter them after your network name is hidden. Then, choose your equipment type to get detailed instructions.
01. Go to your [All-Fi Hub settings](http://192.168.1.254/ "Link opens in new window").
02. Select __Home Network__, then __Wi-Fi__.
03. Enter the __Device Access Code__ on your hub.
04. Select __Home Network__, then __Wi-Fi__.
05. Select __Continue__.
06. Select __Home Network__, then __Wi-Fi__.
07. Choose __Advanced Options__ in the __Wi-Fi__ section.
08. Scroll to the __2.4Hz Radio__ or __5.0Hz Radio__ section.
09. Next to __Hide Network Name__, choose __On__ from the dropdown.
10. Select __Save__.
### Mac address filtering
Set up your All-Fi Hub so that it only connects to devices by MAC address. This makes your connections more secure. When you turn on MAC address filtering, only devices that you select can connect to your network.
__FYI:__ Make sure you have the MAC address for each device you want to access your Wi-Fi home network. Every device will have its own process to find its MAC address. Check your service documentation or manufacturer’s website for detailed instructions.
1. Go to your [All-Fi Hub settings](http://192.168.1.254/ "Link opens in new window").
2. Select __Home Network__, then __Mac Filtering__.
3. Enter the __Device Access Code__ from your hub.
4. Go to the __MAC Filtering section__ and select __Enabled__ for the radio you want to turn on MAC Filtering.
5. In __Mac Filter Entry__, either:
- Select your devices’ __MAC addresses__
- Enter the __MAC address__ in the __Manual Entry__ field (repeat as needed)
6. Choose __Add__.
7. Select __Save__.
### Port forwarding
__Important:__ Use port forwarding with caution. It may allow others to access devices in your home without your knowledge.
1. Go to your [All-Fi Hub settings](http://192.168.1.254/ "Link opens in new window").
2. Select the __Firewall__ tab.
3. Enter the __Device Access Code__ on your hub.
4. Select __NAT/Gaming__. Get a warning message? Go to the [AT&T Port Forwarding tool](https://ufix.att.com/portal/index.html?referrerid=3&go=portforwarding "Link opens in new window") to enable port forwarding on your account. Then, you can continue with these steps.
5. From the __Service__ dropdown, select the application for port forwarding. If your application isn't in the list, or you are setting up port forwarding for a device:
- Select __Custom Services__.
- In the __Service Name__ area, enter the name for the application or device.
- For __Global Port Range__, enter the port(s) you want to open. We recommend that you create a separate service entry for each port rather than using a port range. In this case, the port number should be the same in the Global Port Range fields.
- In __Base Host Port__, enter the port number used for the first __Global Port Range__ section.
- Choose the appropriate __Protocol__ from the drop-down for the application or device you are adding.
- Select __Add__.
- Repeat for more applications and devices.
- When all applications or devices have been added, select __Return to NAT/Gaming__. Your new applications or devices will display in the Applications list.
6. From the __Needed by Device__ dropdown, choose the __device name__ or __IP address__ of the device to open the port.
7. Select __Add__.
8. When your selections display in Hosted Applications, select __Save__.
