Learn about AT&T's recent applications to the California Public Utilities Commission and how they may affect you.
AT&T has applied to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) requesting to:
We want to modernize the home phone, so you have better ways to connect. These changes would allow us to move to current technology in our California service area.
Older technologies, like copper networks, can cost more to maintain, use harder-to-source equipment, and are less energy efficient. Every dollar spent maintaining those networks is a dollar lost to investing in modern technology to benefit Californians.
As a result of this request, the CPUC has scheduled several Public Participation Hearings (PPHs). These hearings provide an opportunity for you, the public, to ask questions or voice concerns with the CPUC about this process.
