Change your user ID

Know your ID for myAT&T or DIRECTV STREAM and want to change it? Just sign in and follow these steps.


Change your myAT&T ID

Heads up: Your new ID will have to be an email address.

Here’s how to change the ID you use to sign in to myAT&T. If you want to use an ID you already have for another account, go to the Combine IDs section.
  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile and scroll to Sign-in info.
  2. Choose Edit for your User ID.
  3. Enter your new ID. If you enter an existing ID, we may offer to combine them.
  4. Check the box to Save your ID, if you see it.
  5. Save your changes.
Remember: Be sure to use your new ID the next time you sign in.

Combine IDs

  • If you try to change your ID to an ID you already have, we may offer to combine the IDs. To keep your info safe, we may ask you to provide more sign-in details.
  • Combining IDs won’t combine your bills or bundle your services. You’ll just have fewer IDs and passwords to remember.
