Transfer or accept billing responsibility

Transferring your Home Phone service

  • If your account has no past-due balance, call 800.288.2020 to assign your number to someone else.
  • Your final bill will include charges up to the transfer date.

Accepting responsibility for Home Phone service

  • After the original owner asks for the transfer,  the future owner needs to call and create an account with the number being transferred.
  • The person taking the account might need to pay a security deposit and service-order charge.
