Update contact email for your user ID

Keep your contact email up-to-date in myAT&T so you don’t miss online payment receipts or other notices.

Learn how to update your email address

Good to know: If you have Wireless Account Lock turned on, you won’t be able to update your email address—you’ll need to turn off the account lock first. Learn how to turn off Wireless Account Lock

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile. Sign in, if asked.
  2. Scroll to Sign-in info and choose Edit for your email.
  3. Follow the prompts to make your updates.
  4. Check your email inbox to verify your email address. Don't see an email? Make sure you check your spam or junk folder.

Update your billing contact email separately

The email address for your user ID works differently than your billing contact email. Receipts for online payments go to your user ID email. All other billing info goes to your billing contact email. This includes paperless bills and receipts for payments not made online.

Learn how to update the billing contact info for each of your AT&T accounts.

Assign a wireless number to your user ID

Have a wireless account? If so, you can assign your wireless number to your user ID. This lets you recover your user ID or reset your password by text if you ever forget them. Learn how to manage the wireless number for your user ID.
