Wi-Fi gateway software updates

Did you get a no service error or a message to update your gateway's software? If so, restart your gateway to update the software, sometimes referred to as firmware.

Restart your gateway with AT&T Smart Home Manager

  1. Sign in to Smart Home Manager and select Network.
  2. Scroll to and select the Home Network Hardware.
  3. Select Wi-Fi Gateway and then Restart.
  4. Select RESTART.

Want to know which software version is currently on your gateway? Here's how:
  1. Open Smart Home Manager and select Network.
  2. Select Home Network Hardware.
  3. Select Wi-Fi Gateway and then Device Details.
  4. Find your software version listed at the bottom of the screen.

Manually restart your Wi-Fi gateway

  1. Remove the power cord from the back of your gateway. If you have an internal battery backup, remove that, too.
  2. Wait at least 20 seconds.
  3. Put the battery back in (if you have one), then plug the power cord in.
