Learn how to create, recover, or reset your voicemail PIN with your authentication code.

About the voicemail authentication code

You use your authentication code to recover or reset your voicemail PIN. It's not the same as the six-digit voicemail PIN used to access your messages. Keep your authentication code in a safe place.

Good to know: Set up your voicemail PIN before creating an authentication code. You'll need your authentication code when setting up voicemaill.

Set up your authentication code

  1. Dial *98 from your digital phone.
  2. Press 4 for mailbox settings.
  3. Press 2 for administrative options.
  4. Press 1 for security and hands-free.
  5. Press 4 for authentication code.
  6. Press 1 to create or change.
  7. Select which birthday to enter:
    • Mother - press 1
    • Father – press 2
    • Spouse – press 3
    • Child – press 4
  8. Enter the 8-digit date of birth (MMDDYYYY).
  9. Re-enter the 8-digit date to confirm and return to the security options menu.
