Use Call Waiting

Call Waiting allows you to take another call while you’re already on the phone. Learn to enable and disable this feature.

Use or disable Call Waiting functionality

Call Waiting is included free with your Phone service and allows you to take another call while you’re already on the phone. A special tone will indicate an incoming call. If your telephone has Caller ID, the number of the incoming caller will be displayed.

Answer a waiting call
  1. Press the Flash or Hang Up button, putting the first call on hold. 
  2. To return to the first call or switch back and forth between the calls, press the Flash or Hang Up button. 

Turn Call Waiting on or off
  • Turn off: Press *370# from your home phone.
  • Turn on: Press *371# from your home phone. 

Disable for a single call
If you’d like to turn Call Waiting off for only one call:
  1. Press *70 to temporarily disable Call Waiting before dialing the number. 
  2. Press # to initiate the call. 
  3. Once you hang up, Call Waiting will turn back on automatically.

Disable during a call
  1. Press the Flash or Hang Up button, putting your call on hold.
  2. Dial *70# to temporarily disable Call Waiting. 
  3. Press the Flash or Hang Up button again to return to your call. 
  4. Once you hang up, Call Waiting will turn back on automatically.
