[AT&T Wireless](https://www.att.com/support/wireless/) # Store sign-in info with ActiveArmor Learn how to use the AT&T ActiveArmor Password Manager and Browser Extension to securely store sign-in info. * * * Password ManagerPassword ManagerBrowser ExtensionBrowser Extension You have to set up a Master Password in the AT&T ActiveArmor® app to use Password Manager, Identity Monitoring, and Social Media Identity Protection. The Master Password protects your personal info and passwords stored in your vault. We recommend linking your Master Password to your phone’s biometric unlock during the set-up process. ### Set up your Master Password You have to set up a Master Password to use Password Manager, Identity Monitoring, and Social Media Identity Protection. The Master Password protects your personal info and passwords stored in your vault. We recommend linking your Master Password to your phone’s biometric unlock for convenience. 1. Open the ActiveArmor app and tap __ID & Passwords__. 2. Select the __Passwords__ tab, then choose __Set up now__ on the Master Password screen. 3. Review the Master Password and Recovery Key details, then tap __Continue__. 4. Create and enter a __Master Password__. 5. Confirm the __Master Password__, then select __Continue__. We’ll display a 24-digit Recovery Key. 6. Choose how you’d like to store your Recovery Key. Keep it in a safe place only you can access. __Important:__ Your Recovery Key is the only way to recover your vault if you ever forget your Master Password. - Download and print - Save manually 7. Follow the prompts to finish up. __Heads up:__ We can’t reset your Master Password, and we don’t store it on our servers. ### Store an app or service password Add new passwords for your apps and services: 1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select __ID & Passwords__. 2. Tap the __Passwords__ tab. 3. Select __+ Add Password__. 4. Enter an __Account name__ followed by the __Web address__, __Username__ and __Password__ for the app or service. 5. Add any extra info in __Notes__. 6. Select __Save this account__. __Good to know:__ All saved passwords are encrypted, and we can only see a random mix of numbers and letters. ### Unlock the Passwords tab You should keep the Password tab locked when you’re not using it. 1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select __ID & Passwords__. 2. Tap the __Passwords__ tab. 3. Enter your Master Password and select __Unlock__ or use biometric authentication. The ActiveArmor® Browser Extension is an add-on for your desktop. It helps create, save, and auto-fill your passwords as you use the web. Open the ActiveArmor app and select __ID & Passwords.__ 2. Tap __Email me the links__. 3. Open the email on your browser and select __Add extension__. A puzzle icon will appear in the browser toolbar. 4. Select the __icon__ and choose the extension from the list. Once installed, use the Password Manager from the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app on your desktop or mobile browser. __Good to know:__ Work or school computers may block some extensions. ### Import accounts from other apps and browsers 1. Sign in to the ActiveArmor browser extension and go to __Settings__. 2. Select __Data__ section and then __Import Accounts__. 3. Re-enter your __Master Password__. 4. Choose the existing password app you want to import from, then select the file. * * * ## FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS [Expand All](https://www.att.com) * * * How do I reset my ActiveArmor Master Password? If you forget your Master Password, you need the Recovery Key to reset it. You received this 24-digit key during the set-up process, and it works on both desktop and mobile devices. 1. Select __I’ve forgotten my password__ on the login screen. 2. Enter your email address or username, recovery key, then create a new master password. Don’t have your Recovery Key? You’ll have to delete your account, then uninstall and reinstall the app. Then, you can create a new vault with the same username. Remember, this will delete all your saved passwords, IDs, data, and financial account info. __Heads up:__ For security reasons, we can’t reset the Master Password. What happens if the ActiveArmor servers have a security issue? Every password is encrypted locally on your device before it reaches our servers. So, if a hacker gets into the ActiveArmor system, they’ll only see random letters and numbers. Without your key to decrypt them, your info remains safe. What happens if I forget my Master Password for ActiveArmor? The Master Password unlocks all your saved data in Password Manager. For security reasons, we don’t store it on our servers. If you forget your Master Password, you can use the Recovery Key to reset it. Who can see my stored passwords in the ActiveArmor app? Your privacy is our top priority. We do not store your Master Password on our servers, so we have no access to your account.
