Password Manager

Get help creating your Master Password and managing your password vault using the ActiveArmorSM Password Manager. You’ll be able to easily create, remember, and store strong passwords.

Set up your Master Password

You have to set up a Master Password to use Identity Monitoring and the Password Manager. The Master Password protects your personal info and passwords stored in your vault. We recommend linking your Master Password to your phone’s biometric unlock for convenience.

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select IDs & Passwords.
  2. Select Set up now on the Master Password screen.
  3. Review the Master Password and Recovery Key details, then select Continue.
  4. Create and enter a Master Password.
  5. Confirm the Master Password, then select Continue. We’ll display a Recovery Key. You’ll need this key if you ever forget your Master password.
  6. Choose how you’d like to store your Recovery Key.
    • Download and print
    • Save manually
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the process.

Important: For security reasons, we don’t store your Master Password on our servers because it unlocks all saved data in the Password Manager.

Store a new password

Add new passwords for your apps and services:

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select IDs & Passwords.
  2. Tap Passwords, then Password Vault.
  3. Select + Add, then Password.
  4. Enter a Title, then tap the icon to change it, choose a color and symbol, then confirm.
  5. Enter the Username and Web address for the app or service.
  6. Add any extra info in Notes.
  7. Tap Save.

Good to know: Since we don’t store your Master Password on our servers, we don’t have access to your account. All saved passwords are deeply encrypted, and we can only see a random mix of numbers and letters.

Unlock the Password Vault

You should keep the Password Vault locked when you’re not using it.

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select IDs & Passwords.
  2. Select Passwords, then Password Vault.
  3. Enter your master password and select Unlock or use biometric authentication.
