Connect a device to a Wi-Fi network
Learn how to connect your wireless device to a Wi-Fi network to access the internet.
DETAILED STEPSTurn on Wi-Fi and connect to a network
Be sure to have the Wi-Fi® network name and password handy before trying to connect to the network. These steps will work for most devices:
- Go to your device Settings.
- Choose Connections (Android only).
- Select Wi-Fi. If it’s turned off, toggle it to On.
- Choose the wireless network that you want to connect to from the provided list.
- Enter the network password, if required, and select Join or OK.

Switch Wi-Fi networks
- Select Wi-Fi in your device Settings, or swipe down from the Notification bar and press and hold the Wi-Fi icon.
- Choose the wireless network that you want to connect to.
- Enter the network password, if required, and select Join.
