Main steps

Record Visual Voicemail greeting
To change or record your  greeting:
  1. For AT&T Visual Voicemail app for Android, tap the AT&T Visual Voicemail app.

  2. For all other types of Visual Voicemail, tap Phone > Voicemail.
  3. If you have iPhone, select Greeting.
  4. For all other smartphones, tap Settings > Change voicemail greeting.
  5. Select Custom > Record.
  6. When you're finished recording your greeting, select Stop > Save.

Some smartphones may call the voicemail system when you select Change voicemail greeting. Follow the steps below if this occurs.

Call to record your voicemail greeting
To change or record your voicemail greeting:
  1. From your wireless phone, press and hold 1 or the Voicemail key.
  2. If you have AT&T Wireless Home Phone, dial 1 from your connected home phone.
  3. Enter your voicemail password if prompted.
  4. In the Main Menu, press 4 for Personal Options.
  5. Press 3 to Change Greetings.
  6. Follow the voice prompts to record a personal greeting.
