Manage Wi-Fi on your mobile device

Connecting to public Wi-Fi with your mobile device just takes seconds. Learn tips to manage your mobile Wi-Fi connections.

Connect to public Wi-Fi

Connecting to public Wi-Fi® is easy. If you connect successfully once, you can automatically connect every time you're in range of that network. If you don’t want to connect to Wi-Fi, you can turn Wi-Fi off or set it so it doesn’t auto-connect.

Learn how to manage Wi-Fi settings on your phone in the device help center.

Protect yourself when using public Wi-Fi service

The AT&T Wi-Fi network supports secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) access. If you have VPN, we suggest that you connect through it for optimum security. We also encourage you observe standard security practices, such as ensuring that computer hard drives aren’t shared and that laptops have firewall protection.
