Learn about Caller ID on Wireless Home Phone

Wireless Home Phone (WHP) supports Caller ID on incoming and outgoing calls at no additional charge. Learn more about this feature.

Use and manage Caller ID

Incoming calls

When receiving incoming calls on your connected home phone:
  • Calling Number Identification sends the caller's telephone number to your Wireless Home Phone.
  • If the caller's number is in your address book, Caller ID displays the contact name.
  • If there's no address book entry, Caller ID displays the caller's number.

Outgoing calls

When placing outgoing calls from your connected home phone:
  • Calling Number Identification sends your Wireless Home Phone number to the phone receiving the call.
  • If your number is in the phone’s address book, Caller ID displays your contact name.
  • If there's no address book entry for your number in the phone’s address book, Caller ID displays your Wireless Home Phone number.

Block Caller ID

  • To block outgoing Caller ID on a per-call basis dial #31# (plus the 10-digit number).
  • *67 may be available in some markets. Dial *67 (plus the 10-digit number) when available.

To block Caller ID on all calls, you must add a Caller ID blocking feature to your account. To add or remove a Caller ID blocking feature at no additional charge, you can:
  • Chat with us using the Chat button when available (not available for AT&T PREPAIDSM).
  • Call 611 from an AT&T wireless phone.
  • Call 800.331.0500 (AT&T PREPAID customers call 800.901.9878).
