Activate & set up a warranty replacement device

  1. Transfer your data to your replacement device. Learn how at Data Backup & Transfer to learn more. 
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Move the SIM card from your old device to your replacement.
    • Insert the new SIM card that came with your warranty replacement and activate your device.
  3. Return your defective device within 10 days.

Activate & set up a replacement MicroCell

Before you start, copy your info from your existing MicroCell to your new one. This includes items like your approved user list.
  1. Go to att.com/3GMicroCell.
  2. Select Manage Settings.
  3. Disconnect the original MicroCell.
  4. Connect and activate your replacement MicroCell.
  5. Return your defective device within 10 days.
