Activate a replacement device

Get started with a device protection or warranty replacement device.


Activate your replacement

Want device-specific help, go to Device Support and choose your device. Scroll to Device info and select the topic related to your SIM type.

eSIM

Turn your device on and follow the prompts. Want detailed steps? Get eSIM download instructions

SIM card

If you have your original SIM card, remove it from your old device and insert it into your replacement. Don't have the original SIM card? Use the new one from the box your replacement came in. If you have AT&T Prepaid® service, call 866.748.7819.

For activation and setup questions with device protection1 replacements, call 888.490.6096. ProTech experts2 are ready to help you:

  • Weekdays from 8 a.m. to midnight ET
  • Weekends from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET

You have 30 days to return your damaged or defective device.

Get help with your replacement device

SIM card

If you need a new SIM card and there wasn’t one included in your replacement box, you'll have to order a new SIM card.

Warranty info

Device protection replacements have a 12-month warranty. Contact Asurion at 888.477.6832 for device issues within the first 30 days. For device issues after 30 days, contact us at 800.331.0500.

Warranty replacements have either a 90-day warranty or the rest of your original device warranty, whichever is greater. Not sure which one is greater? Contact us
