AT&T Mobile Security features

Breach reports

The AT&T Mobile Security1 Basic service includes breach reports. This feature sends email and app alerts when a company, app, or service you may use or follow experiences a data breach. You’ll also get practical advice (when available) on what to do if a data breach occurs.

Make sure to customize your alerts to get notified if your info is affected by a data breach.

Types of info impacted
Each breach differs based on the types of info the impacted company stores, like your:
  • Personal info (name, email, passwords, Social Security number, driver’s license number, medical records)
  • Financial info (debit and credit card numbers)

Ways to customize your breach report alerts
While you can’t opt out of getting alerts, you can add or remove companies or services you follow.
  1. Open the app and tap Breach Reports.
  2. Tap Manage.
  3. Update your alert list:
  4. To add: Tap +, find the name of the service(s) you want to follow, and tap Done. Tap Save.
  5. To remove: Tap Edit, select the service(s) you want to stop following, and select the trash can. Tap Close.

Personal ID Monitor

As part of AT&T Mobile Security Plus, Personal ID Monitor checks your personal info on websites, in chat rooms, and more. We proactively send you email or app alerts if we find that your personal info is being bought or sold online on the dark web.

Enter your personal info
Make sure Personal ID Monitor has your correct info by entering it into the AT&T Mobile Security app. Your personal info includes:
  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Passport numbers
  • Medical insurance numbers (don’t enter the Member ID found on your health insurance card)

Heads up: Medical ID numbers that have special characters may not be eligible for the monitoring service. You’ll get an error message when you enter your number if it isn’t eligible.
