A personal mobile hotspot lets you connect (tether) a laptop, tablet, or other device to your mobile device and use your wireless plan’s data. Use of this feature requires a compatible data plan.
Did you get a notice about using your device as a mobile hotspot? That happens when we see that you're using a mobile hotspot without a compatible plan. Here’s what to do:
- Switch to a different plan that includes the mobile hotspot feature, if you want to use mobile hotspots. Check out our plans
- Keep your current plan, but make sure the devices on it aren’t being used as mobile hotspots.
