Get started with AT&T Personal Cloud

Back up and sync your contacts, photos, and videos from your iPhone or Android phone.

Download and sign up

AT&T Personal Cloud1 backs up and syncs content on your phone to the cloud or to other iPhones® or Android® phones. If you have an iPhone, you can sync contacts, photos, and videos. If you have an Android, you can sync contacts, call logs,2 text messages,3 music, photos, videos, and documents. Here’s how:
  1. Download and install the app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Select your storage option.
  3. Enter your AT&T user ID and password for your wireless number to sign in.
  4. Choose content types for backup.

Review synced items

Once you do an initial backup, AT&T Personal Cloud works in the background to keep your selected content synced.
Want to check what items you’re syncing?

  1. Open the AT&T Personal Cloud app.
  2. Go to Settings Gear icon.
  3. Review the items you’ve chosen to sync.

If something is missing, make sure Personal Cloud has permission to access items you want to back up. You can find app permissions in your device settings. For more info, check out our Device Support.

Restore content to a new phone

It’s easy to add and access synced content to a new iPhone or Android phone. Before you start, make sure your cloud content is up to date.

Heads up: The initial sync to a new phone may take a while if you choose to add a lot of content. Connect to Wi-Fi® to save wireless data and connect your phone to a charger.

  1. Download the AT&T Personal Cloud app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Open it on your new phone.
  3. Select the content types for backup.
  4. Sign in with your user ID and password.
  5. Go to Settings Gear icon, then Tools, and then to Content Restore.
  6. Choose what you want to sync to your new phone from the cloud.
