How do I set the administrative sign in for Cayman Classic router?

In order to protect yourself from potential security issues, it is important for you to set Admin and User passwords on your Cayman router.

ArticleOVERVIEW

Setting the administrative sign in for Cayman Classic router

Access router interface

First, access your Cayman router's interface at http://192.168.1.254 (this should open a new browser window). This is the default address that was set by Cayman. Once the router interface appears, go to Setting admin password instructions below. If this does not bring up a dialogue box or a router interface, your router may have another IP address; please refer to Determining the Gateway IP address.

If a dialogue box appears asking for a User Name and Password, leave the spaces blank and select OK. If your router's passwords have not been set, the router interface should appear in your browser and you can proceed with the Setting admin password instructions below.

If after selecting OK, the router interface does not appear, your passwords have already been set. Repeat the steps to access your router interface, but this time when the User Name and Password fields appear, enter "Admin" for User name and leave password blank. Press enter or OK to continue and proceed with the Setting admin password instructions below.

If you do not remember setting your passwords, please follow the instructions for Resolving incorrect Cayman router password errors.
