AT&T Communication Manager 6.2
Modem / Tethering
An issue has been identified with the clean uninstall utility version 1.4 and Windows Vista 64-bit edition.  The program does not delete the desktop item or the entry for AT&T Communication Manager in the Add/Remove Programs application, however all other portions of the program are deleted.

Although using the Add/Remove Programs tool in the Windows Control Panel to remove AT&T Communication Manager will suffice in most cases, it does not remove all components installed. If complete removal of the AT&T Communication Manager software is required, a tool for clean uninstallation has been made available.

Steps to perform a clean uninstallation of Communication Manager

  1. Uninstall Communication Manager.
  2. Reboot the PC.
  3. Download and install the latest version of Communication Manager.
Note: If the issue persists after the installation, continue with the following steps.
  4. Download the removal tool and save it to the Desktop on the PC hard drive.
  5. Navigate to the Desktop of the PC.
  6. Run the tool by double-clicking on the Clean.exe icon.
NOTE: Users of Microsoft Windows Vista will need to right-click the Clean.exe icon and select Run as Administrator.

  7. Click the Uninstall button to proceed.

  8. Wait for the tool to finish running. Once the removal tool is finished, Clean.exe may be safely deleted.
  9. Reboot the PC.
