Home Entertainment in 2021
Most of us have spent a good part of 2020 at home with our immediate family, making us increasingly reliant on a fast Internet connection for remote work, virtual school, and entertainment. We made it through, but if 2020 had you a bit stir crazy, things are already looking more fun in 2021. For the first time ever, Warner Bros. will release its 2021 movie lineup for in-home streaming at the same time the films are released in theaters. These movies will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max for a limited time, which is included with AT&T Fiber–Internet 1000, the superfast 1 GIG Internet plan. So grab some popcorn and get ready for family movie nights!
Optimize your Internet Connection
Warner Bros. blockbusters will all be available in premium A/V formats on HBO Max on supported devices. Imagine watching Godzilla vs. Kong on the flatscreen with your family. The last thing you want is buffering issues or a low-quality picture. Take these steps to make sure your Internet connection is optimal:
- First, determine what is considered fast internet for your entertainment needs.
- Second, test your current internet speed.
- Third, choose the best internet plan that is available in your area. Ideally, you’d want to look for something powered by AT&T Fiber. You can learn how to get Fiber Internet and check availability in your neighborhood if you need to upgrade. Remember, HBO Max is included when you pick AT&T Fiber Internet 1000 , so that might be a great option if it’s available where you live.
Watch 2021 Blockbusters at Home
Each Warner Bros. movie planned for release in 2021 will be available in theaters and on HBO Max for one month after its official release date. To set up the perfect at-home viewing experience, consider that HBO Max is compatible with a variety of devices that enable viewing on any screen. With upcoming movies like Judas and the Black Messiah already generating buzz for the 2021 awards season, you will want to have the best streaming experience. Here are some other movies we are excited about:
- The Little Things starring Denzel Washington
- The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
- In The Heights starring Lin-Manuel Miranda
- Suicide Squad starring Pete Davidson and Margot Robbie
- The Many Saints of Newark, a Sopranos prequel
- Cry Macho starring Clint Eastwood
- Matrix 4 starring Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss
And of course, there will be lots of movies for the kids, too. Some of the year’s most anticipated animated movies include Tom & Jerry and Space Jam: A New Legacy.
Movie Nights for All Ages
During the remaining cold months, movies make a great night in. For a family movie night, gather bean bags in the basement, pop some popcorn and pick up a variety of movie theater candy to make it memorable for the kids. If you’re planning to watch a thriller after the kids go to bed, make it special with your favorite wine and a charcuterie tray.
As it warms up, consider setting up an outdoor movie screen (you can buy or rent them) and throw a socially distant movie party in the backyard. You’ll want to pick out some speakers, streaming devices and other gear you may need to get set up. Lay out blankets or sleeping bags on the lawn, stream Tom & Jerry on a large outdoor movie screen, pass out the snacks, and let the fun begin.
Here’s to an entertaining 2021!
