Celebrate Pride Month with AT&T

Pride marchers with rainbow AT&T signs

If you’re a longtime employee or customer, you might already know that a core value of AT&T is that it stands for equality, including for the LGBTQ+ community. AT&T is a story of early support. AT&T added “sexual orientation” to its nondiscrimination clause in 1975, making it one of the very first major corporations to provide a safe workplace for lesbian and gay people. So, AT&T is an original corporate ally.

Some other proud moments as a company include AT&T establishing one of the very first employee resource groups for LGBTQ+ employees in 1987, The LEAGUE. AT&T was also one of the first corporations to provide domestic partner benefits to same-sex partners in 1998.

AT&T’s support of the LGBTQ+ community is, in every way, year-round. But during Pride Month, here are some incredible ways to celebrate Pride with AT&T, support the LGBTQ+ community, and turn up the love:

AT&T’s Support of The Trevor Project

Since 2008, AT&T has been invested in connecting LGBTQ+ youth in crisis to The Trevor Project, a nonprofit and the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ+ young people.

AT&T is renewing its long-standing support of The Trevor Project, through a two-year commitment of up to $1,000,000. The nonprofit operates several programs to help prevent and respond to the public health crisis of suicide among LGBTQ+ young people, including 24/7 free crisis services, innovative research, advocacy, public education, and peer support. AT&T’s efforts aim to connect more LGBTQ+ young people in crisis to Trevor’s expert services.

AT&T will donate up to $500,000 to The Trevor Project this year, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $100,000. You can help. Here’s how:
