Force restarting your phone
Learn how to force restart your device. Restarting your device is often the first step when troubleshooting a device issue.
1.
If your device is unresponsive, press and hold the Power button until the screen goes dark (approximately 15 seconds), then release.
It may take up to 30 seconds for the device to completely shut down.
2.
If your device does not reboot automatically, press and hold the Power/Side button to turn your device back on.
Allow up to 30 seconds for the reset to complete.
