Scanning documents and text with your Camera App
Scan documents and extract desired text directly through your camera app.
1.
From the Camera app, tap the Quick Settings icon.

tap the Settings icon.

Tap or slide the Scan documents and text switch to ON.
You can enable Auto Scan to scan documents automatically once the camera detects them, without needing to capture the image manually.

Tap the Back icon.
5.
To scan a document, hold your phone camera up to the text in question and tap the Scan icon.
You can also take a photo and extract the text from it afterward.
6.
Tap Scan.
7.
Drag the borders of the capture area to match your document's edges.
8.
Tap Save.
9.
You've completed the steps!
