Checking if your phone is carrier locked
An unlocked mobile device can be used on any available network instead of being limited to a single network. Follow along with this tutorial to identify whether or not your device has carrier restrictions.

From the Settings app, scroll to and tap System.
2.
Tap Developer options.
3.
Scroll to OEM unlocking.
If the option is available to toggle, that means you have an unlocked phone. If not, that means your phone is locked to a carrier.
