Inserting and removing the Nano SIM card
Learn how to insert, remove, and replace a SIM card in your device.
1.
Locate the nano SIM card tray on the left or right side of your device.
You must have a nano SIM card inserted in iPad to place calls, access the internet, download apps, and share pictures over your carrier's network.
2.
Press the card insertion/removal tool or paperclip into the nano SIM card tray pinhole and push until the tray releases.
The card insertion/removal tool is included in iPad's box.
3.
Slide the nano SIM card tray out of its slot.
A nano SIM card may already be inserted in iPad.
4.
Insert or remove the nano SIM card into or from the tray with the gold contacts facing the back of iPad.
5.
Push the nano SIM card tray back into iPad.
6.
You've completed the steps!
