Understanding Apple Watch connectivity
Your device has cellular network access. Learn how to check the status of the cellular network your device is connected to.
1.
From a watch face, tap Side button to access control center.

If your Cellular icon is green, that means you are connected to a cellular network.
The top left corner of your watch will show your current signal strength.

If your Cellular icon is white, that means your cellular connection has been activated, but that your watch is using a Wi-Fi connection.
The top left corner of your watch will show a Wi-Fi icon. Enabling Wi-Fi calling on your watch may take up to 60 seconds each time you reconnect to the network.
